Adrian Frutiger was a Swiss type designer. Born in Unterseen, he became a typesetters apprentice at the Otto Schlaefli AG printing press in Interlaken at the age of sixteen. He worked there for four years, before enrolling at the Zurich Kunstgewerbschule. In 1952, he relocated to Paris and took on the role as art director for the Deberny & Peignot type foundry.Gallinelli, 2015.
