Nikolai Sabel is an architect, designer and woodworker based in Storfjord, Norway. He studied architecture at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design and is a co-founder of the design agency Lokalt Byrå.

Nikolai has collaborated with Monokrom on various projects, including the casting of our Viksjø typeface in raw concrete for the exhibition Blow it up/Tear it down, and the production of topographic models of the Faroe Islands accompanying our Nordvest Tour travelog and Nina Stössinger’s Nordvest typeface.
