The pictures show a selection of street signs photographed in Tallinn in the summer of 2023. The Tallinn street signs were produced at OÜ Emailsilt, a small factory in Rakvere. The enamel workshop was established in 1958, just a year after the introduction of Univers and Neue Haas GroteskAnd the lesser known Folio. at Graphic 57.Raigna, 2007.

The Tallinn signs provided inspiration for Monokrom’s Eero. Andree Paat and Typokompani’s wonderful Ladna is another interpretation of the same source.Paat, 2023.
